Claire is a career development consultant who has experience in helping people of all ages and stages with career decision making, career transition, and planning. A lifelong learner, Claire is passionate about ongoing personal and professional development and is an active branch committee member of the Career Development Association of New Zealand. She has a Masters of Professional Practice (Career Development) through which she developed a new model to describe and achieve career clarity. With a background in healthcare, she has had first-hand experience in planning and implementing her own successful career transition and understands the challenges and rewards that come with shifting focus and reshaping a career path.
Through her collaborative client centred approach, Claire works alongside clients to help discover and articulate their values and potential to shape their future working life. She appreciates the close relationship between career and identity and enjoys helping clients achieve clarity and a sense of purpose through career development.
Claire has worked in the private practice career guidance sector for the last three years. During this time, hundreds of clients have benefitted from her values-driven yet pragmatic approach to career development and planning. She has extensive theoretical knowledge of prominent career development theories and utilizes evidence-based research to inform her practice. Master of Professional Practice (Career Development) (Dist.), Diploma of Career Guidance. Bachelor of Applied Science (Medical Imaging) and MBTI Certified Practitioner.
