Professional Development and Career Coach, Certified Life Coach, Group Facilitator Outplacement, Team Development
Liz Barry delights in the development of human potential. Over the past 20 years she’s helped thousands of people determine their interests, strengths and marketable skills, and coached them through the process of defining their ideal work and how to create it. Working with Liz, clients ask the question “What’s next?” and are awakened to new possibilities for bringing satisfaction, purpose and joy to their professional and personal lives.
Liz graduated with an MSc (Pharmacology), BSc and BCom (Marketing) from the University of Otago and was working in Clinical Research with doctors on medical trials, when a life changing experience in her early 20’s catapulted her onto a journey of self-discovery and she decided to retrain in Career Development at AUT mainly because she knew in her boots that she was in the wrong job, did the wrong degrees and that none of it ‘fit’ her.
Ever since she has been focused on enabling people to create the career path that is the right ‘fit’ for them. The success of her coaching practice is through combining evidence-based coaching models and research. She finds it a real privilege to connect with people, understand their journey and help them create a fulfilling and meaningful future along with developing the confidence and skills to step out into it courageously.
She has an open mind, and a genuine love for helping people.
