Team development workshops

CareerEQ consultants are experienced at developing training to suit the needs of our business clients. We have significant experience on topics such as Managing Change and Developing Resilience, Career Development in Organisations, Career Development for Older Workers, Career Conversations for Managers, and Preparation for the Job Market training for employees as a result of restructuring and job loss.

MBTI for Teams:

When individuals in a team have a shared language around personality differences, strengths and weaknesses they are more likely to draw on each other’s complimentary skills and ways of working. The Myers Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®) is an ideal tool to assist teams to build improved understanding of themselves individually, and how best to interact, communicate and appreciate differences with other team members and customers. Half day and full day training offer robust interactive experiences to maximise learning outcomes. Assessments are completed online and feedback given prior to the training or are given manually as part of the training. Our training is designed to suit the needs of the team and their organisation.

Career Planning for Teams in Change:

There is no longer a clear game-plan for the future of careers. Technology is changing so rapidly that it is difficult for people to navigate an uncertain work landscape. This training offers employees an opportunity to evaluate their careers, identify what motivates them and establish a career development strategy. It also covers developing workplace competencies, career sustainability, and the concept of psychological flexibility.

This training can help teams of employees develop the resilience and career clarity required when organisational change and uncertainty impact. Training emphasises employees taking responsibility for their own career decisions, work engagement, and performance.

Career Planning for Older Workers:

These days, since there is no mandatory retirement age we are working longer, and managing our late career transitions are more complex. This means that older workers need to plan and build greater collaboration with their managers so that they continue to learn new skills, continue to make a contribution and create lifestyles that support well-being. Two workshops are offered;

A half day training that emphasises taking personal responsibility for managing a late-career transition and provides simple tools to evaluate and plan towards greater lifestyle balance.

A full day training that offers a comprehensive process from which participants can evaluate the status of their career and assess what motivates them now. They will create some clear objectives for their late-career transition towards improved contribution and a satisfying lifestyle.

Career Conversations for Managers:

Career conversations for managers who are busy, is challenging and difficult to get right. Using the Career Intelligence model for Career Conversations developed around the CareerEQ Career Intelligence Assessment, managers can bring a holistic approach to their career conversations with employees. This training is a 3-hour activity.

Thank you, I loved your session and would have loved to have you here for longer (Sarah)

A very interesting presentation. Great to see the different personalities in the group – the group task was more interesting than I thought.

Great to do group activities. Would have liked to have talked more about specific situations at work that we might come up against and how different Types can contribute to that. It will definitely allow us to continue working on our team.

A note to say thank you for the workshop on Saturday as part of Arts Regional Trust | Te Taumata Toi-a-iwi; ART Venture programme. It was fabulous to work with you again. I particularly enjoyed and appreciated how you interlaced the MBTI information with personal anecdotes in an open and empathetic way to our situation and the group.
